Road Construction

In July 2026, Ground Earthworks completed a 300m² road construction project in North Rothbury, constructing a new 50-metre-long by 6-metre-wide access road to meet council requirements. Using our 3.5-tonne excavator and 11-tonne tipper, we stripped the existing topsoil and excavated a minimum of 300mm to reach a solid base before backfilling with 20mm minus subgrade material. Ground Earthworks transported approximately 225 tonnes of gravel directly from the quarry and placed it in 100mm layers to build up the road base. A verge was also constructed to meet council requirements, with the surrounding areas levelled to tie into the existing ground before achieving council compliance.
